MAG-103 Test Stand/Mounting Bracket The MAG-103 is designed to give greater flexibility to the mounting options for Magna-Matic balancers. It provides five different mounting options, and is also included with the MAG-10300 Service Center Stand. MAG-10300 Service Center Stand The MAG-10300 is designed to bring the balancer and sharpener in to close proximity to create a productive work-station for blade service. MAG-3000 Chipper Blade Vice The MAG-3000 is designed to allow you to sharpen single-sided chipper/shredder blades in a Magna-Matic sharpener. MAG-3001 Large Chipper Blade Vice The MAG-3001 is designed to allow you to sharpen large double-sided chipper/ shredder blades in a Magna-Matic sharpener. 1 page Assembly Instructions for the MAG-10300 Service Center Stand Required Tools First gather all the require tools to assemble the stand. [. . . ] You will require (6) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (6) 5/16" lock washers - (6) 5/16" nuts. BE SURE TO USE A SQUARE when attaching the supports to the center column. The same hole pattern is on each of the four sides of the column - this gives you the choice of where to place the balancer stand table of anyone of the 4 sides of the column. Step 5: Assemble the MAG-103 Balancer Stand table top to the supports from Step 4. You will require (4) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (4) 5/16" lock washers - (4) 5/16" nuts. 5 page Assembly Con't Step 6: Assemble the u-bracket to large sharpener table top; and then to the center column. You will require (2) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (2) 5/16" lock washers to connect the u-bracket to the sharpener table top. You will require (4) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long and (4) 5/16" lock washers to connect the u-bracket to the center column. The sharpener table top has 1 of 4 ways it can be placed on the stand, see the diagrams for the suggested orientation for each sharpener. Note: the sharpener table top has 2 slotted holes at one end - this is the "front" as shown in the diagrams page 6 Assembly Con't Step 7: MAG-103 Stand Assemble the MAG-103 balancer stand. You will require (8) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (8) 5/16" flat washers (8) 5/16" lock washers - (8) 5/16" hex nuts. When positioning the MAG-103 arm - always be sure to check that the plate you mount the balancer to is VERTICAL. See page 9 to view suggested positions. 7 page Assembly Con't Step 8: Assemble the MAG-103 balancer stand to the MAG-10300. You will require (3) 5/16" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (3) 5/16" flat washers (3) 5/16" lock washers - (3) 5/16" hex nuts; and for the middle pivot use (1) 3/8" bolt hex head x 3/4" long - (1) 3/8" lock washer - (1) 3/8" nut. The MAG-103 can be swiveled upon this table to suit your needs. Step 9: Assemble the MAG-1000 (or alternate) balancer to the MAG103. You will require (2) 1/4" bolt socket head x 3/4" long - (2) 1/4" fiber washers - (2) 1/4" lock washers - (2) 1/4" nuts. Step 10: Assemble the sharpener (MAG-8000 or MAG-9000) to the MAG-10300 Service Center Stand. Place a chipper blade in the jaws of the vice, use the slider bar to hold the chipper blade - and then turn the handle to increase tension onto the blade to keep it in place. Using the same method you do to sharpen a lawn mower blade, sharpen the chipper blade. MAG-3001 This chipper blade is used to hold double sided larger chipper blades.
