You can change these buttons to suit your storefront in the attributes for the element. The Image Button SmartElement is used for the navigation buttons so that each button has an on and off state. To change navigation images: 1 2 In the layout, right click an Image Button element and choose Attributes. For the Content attribute, make sure File List is selected and click the ellipsis button. Navigate to the image file you want to use for the off-state and click Add. (Adding images in this order ensures that the on-state image is on top. By changing the content in the products database, adding a new DataSource Name (DSN) and applying that DSN to each query in Drumbeat, you can quickly customize the content in Quick Store. Before making modifications, be sure to make a copy and rename the database. Customize Database Content Before making modifications, be sure to make a copy and rename the database. The bookstore database is located at <installation directory>/Drumbeat 2000/ Quick Store/SiteAssets/Databases. To customize the database content: 1 Open the copy of the bookstore database in Access and from the Tables tab click the Books table. The screen capture below shows all of the data fields in the Books table. 148 Chapter 8 2 Open the table in Datasheet view and replace the existing content with your product content. Book cover images are referenced from the books table in the Coverpic field. Remember to copy your product shots to the images folder under the publishing directory. An images folder is created by default when publishing. 3 Once you have finished adding product information to the table, save and close the file. Create New DataSource Name In Drumbeat, you are going to create a new DSN that points to your customized bookstore database. To create a new DataSource Name: 1 2 3 4 From Asset Center, click Add Assets and choose Queries. In the ODBC Data Source Administrator, click the Systems DSN tab and click Add. Then, name the Data Source and click Select and navigate to your customized version of the bookstore database. Click OK to close the dialog. 5 Customizing Quick Store 149 6 In SQL Query Manager, select the new DSN from the dropdown list. 7 8 Click Save Query.
