[. . . ] If you want more precise control over where your PC's sound is played back, install the included Logitech® Music AnywhereTM software CD. The software will allow you to set your default Windows® sounds to play on your computer speakers while sending just the music from your media player out to your Music Receiver. ) See the help topic titled "How to keep Windows® sounds on your PC speakers" in the software's help system for more details. [. . . ] If you are using the Logitech® Music AnywhereTM software, check the settings to make sure the playback location for your media player is set to the Logitech® Music AnywhereTM adapter. Use this setting when you are using a speaker system (such as a multimedia system) that doesn't have its own remote volume control. Put the switch in the `Fixed' position to force the Receiver to always output a full-strength, line-level signal. Use this setting when you are using a home stereo system that has its own remote volume control.
