This device uses a non-user replaceable, rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that should last the lifetime of the device. Frequent charging of Lithium-ion type batteries is encouraged and may prolong battery life, as Lithium-ion technologies do not exhibit a battery "memory" like other battery technologies do. Also, deep discharging should be avoided, as this may adversely affect battery life. If the battery has died, you should follow the disposal (recycling) instructions below. Consult local laws and regulations for proper battery and electronic product disposal in your region. If there are no local regulations concerning battery disposal, please dispose of battery in a waste (recycling) bin designated specifically for electronic devices. Caution: The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire, explosion, or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not open, mutilate, or expose to conducting materials (metal), moisture, liquid, fire, or heat (above 54° C or 130° F). Doing so may cause battery to leak or explode, resulting in personal injury. Do not use or charge battery if it appears to be leaking, discolored, deformed, or in any way abnormal. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. This symbol would then be located in the manual section adjacent to the marking that refers to the area of concern.
