This guide will familiarize you with our technology and your new phone through simple, easy-to-follow instructions. [. . . ] It's fun and as easy to use as a traditional point-and-click camera: just take a picture, view it on your phone's display, and send it from your phone to up to 25 people. This section explains the features and options of your phone's built-in camera. Camera Section 2I: Using Your Phone's Built-in Camera 101 Taking Pictures Taking pictures with your phone's built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens, and pressing a button. You can activate the phone's camera mode whether the phone is open or closed. For Shortcut to camera mode, you can also press the camera button twice or just press the side camera button to access the camera menu. (Additional camera options are available through the camera mode Options menu. See "Camera Mode Options"on page 105 for more information. ) Shortcut: You must press and hold side camera key to access the camera. To return to camera mode, the user must selection Options and then Take New Picture. Using the phone's main LCD as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your subject. 3. Depending on your settings, you may be prompted to accept a Sprint PCS Vision connection. Select an option: Picture ID to assign the picture to a Contacts entry. Post to Service to send the image to a number of popular third-party Web image services. Review/Send Media to go to the In Phone Folder to review your saved pictures. (You can check the picture framing through the external display screen. ) Note: When taking a picture with the phone closed, the subject image appears in reverse on the external display. (The picture will automatically be saved in the In Phone Folder. ) Section 2I: Using Your Phone's Built-in Camera 103 Creating Your Sprint PCS Picture Mail Password The first time you use any of the picture management options involving the Sprint PCS Picture Mail Web site, you will need to establish a Sprint PCS Picture Mail password through your Sprint PCS Vision Picture Phone. This password will also allow you to sign in to the Sprint PCS Picture Mail Web site at www. sprint. com/picturemail to access and manage your uploaded pictures and albums. Select Menu > Pictures > My Albums > Online Albums > View Albums. (You will be prompted to create a Sprint PCS Picture Mail password. ) Note: If your Sprint PCS Service Plan does not include Sprint PCS Picture Mail, you will first be prompted to subscribe to the service for an additional monthly charge. 2. Please wait while the system creates your account. Tip: Write down your Sprint PCS Picture Mail password in a secure place. Once you have received confirmation that your account has been successfully registered, you may upload and share pictures and access the Sprint PCS Picture Mail Web site. 104 Section 2I: Using Your Phone's Built-in Camera Camera Mode Options When the phone is open and in camera mode, press Options (right softkey) to display additional camera options: Flash to activate the flash.
