Main unit function keys * B1 ­ Alarm on/off: to turn Alarm 1 or 2 on/off B2 ­ Channel: to toggle between channel 1, 2 and 3. [. . . ] To do so, locate the wall-mounting hole at the back of the sensor (upper part) and fix it on a hook or nail. Main unit The main unit can be fixed on the rotating/pivoting base or on the wall-mounted base (both included). To use the base, fix the main unit's socket (located under the unit) into the base's jack. To use the wall-mounted base, insert a screw in each wall-mounting hole (2) and fix it to a wall. Then, fix the main unit's socket into the wall-mounted base's jack. 8 Copyright © Lexibook 2005 SM1820GB 11/04/2005 10:19 Page 9 BACK LIGHT: To use the back light, press [A18], located below the main unit LCD display. The back light stays on for 5 seconds. CLOCK AND ALARM SETTINGS Time and Date Setting: 1. The setting sequence is displayed in the order: Hours © Minutes © Seconds © Year © Month/Day sequence © Month © Day © Time Zone © Day-of-week language. Time and date: Press the "+" [B10] or "-" [B11] buttons to adjust the settings and press [B4] to confirm each setting. The month and day sequence gives you the option to select whether the month or the day is displayed first. Day of the week : It can be displayed in different 8 languages: for English, select EN; German (GE), French (FR), Spanish (SP), Italian (IT), Dutch (NE), Danish (DA), and Russian (RU). Note: you will automatically exit the time setting mode after 5 seconds of inactivity. 12/24 Hour Display mode: Outside the manual time setting mode, press the [B10] key to select the 12 or 24 hours mode. Use the [B10] and [B11] buttons to adjust the minutes then press [B4]. Use the [B10] and [B11] buttons to turn the alarm ON and OFF and then press [B4] to confirm your alarm settings. When an alarm is activated, its icon ( and/or ) will be displayed below the time. If you wish to deactivate the alarm completely, you must turn it off (see step 6). WEATHER FORECAST AND DISPLAY Setting the height from sea level Once the synchronization process is complete and the time and date are set, you must enter the height (in metres) of the weather station from sea level: 1. Press [B7] to increase the value and [B8] to decrease the height to the nearest ten. If you want to move the digits at a faster rate, keep [B7] / [B8] pressed down. Once the height from sea level is set, the pressure reading [A4] shows the barometric pressure at the sea level. Notes: The weather forecast may not be accurate if the height entered is incorrect. The height should be re-entered if the location of the weather station changes. 10 Copyright © Lexibook 2005 SM1820GB 11/04/2005 10:19 Page 11 Animated Weather Forecast Symbols This weather station is capable of detecting barometric pressure changes, and based on the data collected, predicting the weather for the next 8 to 12 hours. [. . . ] Otherwise, re-synchronize receiver by holding CHN for 3 seconds until a beep is heard. Ensure the remote sensor is out of direct sunlight, and away from sources of heat. - Make sure remote sensor is away from sources of electrical disturbance. Temperature reading of outdoor remote sensor seems too high.
