SM1102 English 7/2/04 4:21 PM Page 6 Installing the SM1100 main unit and the wireless remote unit. English 6 1. The transmission range from the remote unit to the main unit is in the region of 23-30 m (in an open space). These figures may vary with the environment and the level of interference. The main unit and the remote unit should be located a minimum of 2 metres away from any source of interference. Any electrical device in the vicinity using a radio frequency of 434 MHz may cause interference. If the temperature falls very low (below -25°C or -13°F) for a long period, transmission power will be too low because of the alkaline batteries. In these conditions, keep the remote unit indoors and wait for the temperature to rise again. MAIN UNIT 1. Press the Mode button and keep it down until the hour starts to flash. Press the Hour button as many times as necessary to select the correct hour. Press the Minute button as many times as necessary to select the correct minute. If this method does not work, set up the main unit closer to the sensor or alongside it and hold down the button for a further five seconds. A beep is heard One of the alarms has been triggered.
