It also includes a calorie counter which tracks the calories burned during your workout. Computing your stride length: Before setting the pedometer, you need to calculate your stride length. Your stride length determines the overall distance travelled and the calorie consumption. To calculate your average stride length, walk ten steps as illustrated below and divide the distance covered by 10 to reach your average length. To start the step count process, hold the pedometer vertically and shake it up and down. Secure the unit on your belt, skirt or trousers as mentioned in the getting started section. Notes : To get an accurate total distance travelled and calorie consumption, it is important to keep a regular pace while walking or jogging. The display of the calories consumed during a workout is a rough estimate of the calories consumed based on the user's weight, stride length and the number of steps. the total calories spent can vary widely depending on the user's gender and age. Incorrect readings may occur in the following situations: - If you keep an irregular pace, drag your feet or walk in sandals. - If you subject your unit to sudden motions, jumps, sports, and steep slopes. Press and hold SET for 2 seconds until you see the CM (centimetres) indicator and the display flashing. The stride length ranges between 25cm and 200cm with incremental steps of 1 cm.
