This thermal binder is intended exclusively for use in the thermal binding of brochures in domestic households. The warranty does not provide compensation for damage caused by improper use of the appliance! [. . . ] The appliance is free of electricity only when you remove the power plug from the power socket. Should you do so, appliance safety can no longer be assured and the warranty will become void. Never attempt to bind flammable, heat-sensitive and/or meltable materials and do not bind drawings made on temperature-sensitive paper or material that could undergo changes in colour or quality when subjected to heat. Although this thermal binder satisfies all relevant safety norms and standards, functional errors can never be completely discounted - as with all electrical appliances. Functional errors with the appliance could cause damage to the documents being bound. If you do, this could lead to overheating and cause irreparable damage. On this first use the development of a light odour may occur, caused by production residues (a slight smoke development is also possible). Fold the retainer bracket 8 upwards, until it engages, and draw the document holder 2 out. As soon as the green control lamp 6 glows the appliance has reached its operating temperature. Select a suitable thermal binder cover for your document: Number of sheets 80g/m2 20 30 60 Brochure thikkness in mm 2 mm As soon as an acoustic signal sounds and the control lamp 6 glows constantly you can remove the thermally bound brochure from the binding shaft 1. After use, place the ON/OFF switch 4 at O and remove the plug from the mains power socket. If you are binding particularly thick documents, with a spine width of 20 mm (200 sheeds), then repeat the binding process approx. Always remove the plug from the mains power socket before you clean the appliance!Tap the sides of the sheaf of papers a few times to ensure that ALL of the sheets are lying exactly above each other.
