Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The safety concept can only work if the appliance is in a fault-free condition. · Never perform hot lamination on flammable, heat-sensitive and/or meltable materials and do not laminate drawings on temperature-sensitive paper or material that will undergo changes in colour or quality when subjected to heat. 3. Appliance description q Pouch guide (rear) w Pouch format restraint e ON / OFF switch r Selector switch for hot and cold lamination (HOT and COLD) t ON / OFF Indicator lamp y Indicator lamp "Ready" u Pouch ejector slot (front) i Anti-Blocking switch and pouch thickness switch o Slot for manual pouch input -2- · Never laminate valuable or unique documents. Although the laminator satisfies all predominant safety norms and standards, errors can never be completely discounted - as with all electrical appliances. [. . . ] Suitable laminating pouches · For hot lamination you can use pouches with a width of up to 230 mm and a thickness of maximum 125 Micron. · Please note that each laminating pouch may only be used once. For hot lamination, use only laminating pouches that are expressly designated for hot lamination. For cold lamination, use only laminating pouches that are expressly designated for cold lamination. Note that the laminating pouches included with the laminator are intended exclusively for hot lamination. -3- 7. Operating levels Switch setting Selector switch r Switch setting Foil thickness switch i Laminating foil thickness HOT HOT COLD 80 125 125 > 60 - 80 85 - 125 to 200 The attainment of the operating temperature is indicated through the lighting up of the green LED indicator lamp "Ready" y. For a more uniform laminating result we recommend, especially for thinner foils (below 125 Micron) and with adjustment to a different foil thickness, to first wait an additional ca. 2-3 minutes before beginning with lamination. ³ Tip: For high-gloss photos, select the switch setting "125". Lay the document to be laminated into a laminating pouch of the appropriate size. Make certain that all corners of the document have at least two millimetres of space to the edge of the laminating pouch, as shown in Fig. Preparing for hot lamination ³ ³ ³ ³ ³ ³ Insert the pouch guide q into the holes provided on the rear of the laminator. Place the selector switch for hot or cold lamination r to "HOT". Only activate the pouch thickness switch i when the appliance is switched on. Fig. 1 ³ For information about the lamination process, please read section 10. · Shift the pouch thickness switch i to the desired foil thickness (80 or 125 Micron). The laminator has reached its operating temperature as soon as the green LED indicator light "Ready" y glows. -4- Fig. 2 ³ ³ · ³ Switch the appliance on by flipping the ON / OFF switch e. Place the selector switch for hot or cold lamination r to "COLD". As soon as the green LED indicator lamp "Ready" y glows, you can start with cold lamination. Lay the document to be laminated into a laminating pouch of the appropriate size. Make certain that all corners of the document have at least two millimetres of space to the edge of the laminating pouch, as shown in Fig. For information about the lamination process, please read section 10. 9. Preparing for cold lamination If you have previously performed hot lamination: After hot laminating, allow the laminator to cool down completely before beginning with cold lamination. These can damage the laminating pouch and the document to be laminated! [. . . ] ³ Slide the Anti-Blocking switch (ABS) i back to the desired foil thickness. ³ Re-start the lamination process. ³ Then run a sheet of DIN A4 paper folded in the middle (maximum thickness 1. 0 mm) . . . · without a laminating pouch and · with the fold first . . . slowly into the slot for manual pouch input o. -6- ³ Release the sheet as soon as you notice it being pulled in automatically.
