Explanation Selectsthemethodofvideodetectionwhenmorethanonecomputerisconnected. FIRST ThevideoinputmustbeswitchedtoFIRSTmode. Whentheprimaryvideoinputsignalis lost, themonitorsearchesforasecondarysignalfromthealternatevideoinputport. If avideosignalispresent, themonitorwillautomaticallyswitchtotheactivesource. The monitorwillnotlookforothervideosignalswhiletheprimaryvideosourceispresent. LAST ThevideoinputmustbeswitchedtoLASTmode. Toadjustthepresetperiodof time, selectON, thenpressSELECTandLEFTorRIGHT. Electronicallycompensatesfortheslightvariationsinthewhiteuniformitylevel, aswellas for deviations in color that may occur throughout the display area of the screen. These variationsarecharacteristicofLCDpaneltechnology. Thisfunctionimprovesthecolorand evensouttheluminanceuniformityofthedisplay. UsingtheUNIFORMITYfeaturereduces theoverallpeakluminanceofthedisplay. Ifgreaterluminanceisdesiredovertheuniform performanceofthedisplay, thenUNIFORMITYshouldbeturnedoff.

WheninPOWERMANAGER, theLEDonthefrontofthe monitorblinksamber. WhileinPOWERMANAGER, pushanyofthefrontbuttons, except forPOWERandSELECT, toreturntonormal. Whentheamountofsurroundinglight returnstostandardlevels, themonitorwillautomaticallyreturntonormalmode.

Solution
PleasebeawarethatLCDTechnologymayexperienceaphenomenonknownasImagePersistence. Image persistenceoccurswhenaresidualor"ghost"imageofapreviousimageremainsvisibleonthescreen. UnlikeCRTmonitors, LCDmonitors'imagepersistenceisnotpermanent, butconstantimagesbeingdisplayed foralongperiodoftimeshouldbeavoided. Toalleviateimagepersistence, turnoffthemonitorforaslong asthepreviousimagewasdisplayed. Forexample, ifanimagewasonthemonitorforonehouranda residualimageremains, themonitorshouldbeturnedoffforonehourtoerasetheimage. NOTE:Aswithallpersonaldisplaydevices, LaCierecommendsdisplayingmovingimagesandusingamovingscreensaveratregularintervalswheneverthescreenisidleorturningoffthemonitorwhennotinuse.
