[. . . ] 7 CALIB switch (Calibration switch) Press this when you want to adjust the standard pitch (A4=440 Hz) for tuning. 8 DISPLAY switch (Display select switch) The tuning meter display will change each time you press this switch. On the DTR-2000, you can press this switch simultaneously with the CHROMATIC switch to enter Sound mode. 9 Rack installation holes As shown in the diagram, you can use the included screws, insulating washers, and insulating bushings to install the DTR-2000/1000 in an EIA-standard rack. EIA standard rack Front panel side Screw Insulating washer Insulating bushing 1 INPUT 1, 2 jacks Connect the instrument you wish to tune to these jacks. However if a plug is inserted in the front panel input jack, this jack (INPUT 1 on the DTR-2000) cannot be used. 4 MUTE jack You can connect a latch-type (alternate-type) switch to this jack, and use it to switch muting on/off. However, this jack cannot be used if the front panel MUTE jack is being used. 5 DTR-2000 only: INPUT SELECT jack You can connect a latch-type (alternate-type) switch to this jack, and use it to switch between INPUT 1 and 2. 6 ~ACV connector (Power supply connector) Connect the included power cable to this connector. Tuning procedure On the DTR-1000 you can use the tuning meter to perform chromatic tuning. On the DTR-2000 you can use the tuning meter or a reference pitch to tune in eight different modes (refer to "Tuning modes" on the following page). Tuning may not be possible if your instrument has an excessively high output level. In this case, lower the output level of the instrument that you are tuning Connections If you want to tune an electric guitar or bass, plug it into the INPUT 1, 2 jack. If you want to tune an acoustic instrument, use a contact mic (CM-100: sold separately). On the DTR-2000 if you use the INPUT SELECT switch to select the unused INPUT jack and then turn Mute on, you will be able to tune using the built-in mic. If you use the internal mic, place your instrument as close to the DTR-2000's mic as possible. Also be careful that the mic does not pick up sounds other than the instrument that is being tuned. DTR-2000 only: 0 INPUT select switch This switch selects whether to use the INPUT 1 or the INPUT 2 jack. If you want to use the mic, use the INPUT SELECT switch to select an INPUT jack that is not connected, and turn Mute on. B LIGHT switch This is an on/off switch for the lamp located in the lower middle of the front panel. C Meter unit display This will indicate the units (CENT or Hz) that you have selected for the tuning meter. [. . . ] The multi-LED will display the lowest digit of the 438 Hz–445 Hz value, or "L" (lower) or "H" (higher). " On the DTR-2000, play a note that the selected tuning mode is able to detect (e. ) The DTR-2000/1000 can detect a pitch deviation of +/-50 cents, so even if you use a note other than "A" to set the reference pitch, that note name will automatically be detected (within a range of +/-50 cents), and used for Auto Reference calibration. However in such cases, the multi-LED will display the calibration value as if the input note were converted to A4 (middle "A" on a piano). [. . . ]
