E-52 Setting Color Difference Tolerances Setting Color Difference Tolerances This instrument allows you to set tolerances for the measured color difference, to make pass/fail judgment. Pass/fail judgment is made based on two types of tolerances: box tolerances and elliptical tolerances. Prior to start of measurement, tolerances must be set. Memo · Two types of tolerances are available (box tolerances and elliptical tolerances). With this instrument, either box or elliptical tolerances can be set for each target color. However, the following restrictions apply to the tolerance type that can be set, depending on the selected color space. · In the case of "MUNSELL" and "DENSITY" as the Color Space, neither box nor elliptical tolerances can be set. · In the case of "WI", "YI", "ISO BRIGHTNESS" and "WI/Tint" as the Color Space, only box tolerances can be set.
