For example, if you change the Color Mode to Sepia while in P or M mode, you retain the default setting of Color for Smart scene and Scene modes. The settings, including Flash, are maintained for P and M modes--even when you change modes or turn off the camera. www. kodak. com/go/support 33 Doing more with your camera Changing P or M mode settings P/M modes control ISO, Focus, exposure compensation, shutter speed, and aperture (f-number, also known as f-stop). Use the Menu button to control all other settings. ISO 3200 is available only in 1. 2, 2. 1, 2. 2, and 3. 1 MP picture size (see page 27). NOTE: A higher ISO may produce unwanted "noise" in a picture. Exposure Compensation--adjust the exposure; good for controlling backlit or non-standard scenes. If the picture is too light, decrease the setting; if it's too dark, increase the setting. 34 www. kodak. com/go/support Doing more with your camera Shutter speed--control how long the shutter stays open. Aperture--(also known as f-stop) control the size of the lens opening, which determines the depth of field. Smaller f-stop numbers indicate a larger lens opening; good for portraits and low-light conditions. Larger f-stop numbers indicate a smaller lens opening; keeps the main subject sharp; good for landscapes and well-lit conditions. Description Focus mode--select a large or concentrated area of focus. Focus mode Normal AF Focus setting for general picture-taking. The camera automatically sets the focus distance depending on the zoom position. A magnified image appears on the screen when adjusting focus position. Only the first picture in Panorama mode can be adjusted--that adjustment is applied to the remaining pictures. to increase exposure compensation.
