Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] READ THIS NOW! ARAGON OWNERS INFORMATION The Aragon D2A The D2A operates at an 8 times over-sampling rate with 18 bit resolution. It will accept digital bit stream information from the digital output of compact disc players, digital audio tape recorders and CD video/satellite digital audio transmissions. [. . . ] When using the co-axial inputs, it is important to use a 75 ohm interconnect (this is a video interconnect . with RCA type jacks), NOT standard audio interconnect. When not in use the D2A should be switched to the Off position (the power light goes out). When in the Off position, only the digital circuitry is shut off; all analog circuitry as well as the digital/analog converters, remain on so there is no warm-up period necessary. Upon initially plugging the D2A in the wall please allow at least a 30 minute warm-up, it will continue to improve sonically during the first 2 weeks. Digital Output The D2A has a digital bit stream output. This output should be connected to the digital input of a digital tape recorder. Note: The source three input will not feed the D2A's digital output in order to prevent feedback within the DAr: Thus the DA T output should be connected to the source three input. AnalogOutputs The left and right analog outputs should be connected to the inputs labeled either CD, 0/ A, or A UX, on your pre-amplifier, integrated amplifier or receiver. High quality audio interconnect cables should be used. Absolute Phase Invert If you wish to invert the absolute phase (polarity) connect the cabled switch to the input labeled "Phase Switch Input" on the back panel. This will allow you to alter the absolute phase (in the digital domain) of the recording, from your listening position. An LED will light on the front panel indicating the phase is shifted 180 degrees. De-Emphasis The D2A will automatically decode that a digital recording has been recorded with emphasis. It will automatically compensate by introducing the de-emphasis circuit. [. . . ] IPS The optional larger power supply, the IPS, is connected in the same manner as the standardpower supply. The D2A is designed to give many years of trouble free musical pleasure. However, if any problemsshoulddevelop, pleasecontactyour dealer, or MondialDesignsdirectly. WARNING - DO NOT attempt to remove the EMI/RFI shield cover from the digital processing board. [. . . ]
