[. . . ] The FP 30 D projector is only to be employed for its intended purpose and is only used when functioning absolutely perfectly . Serious danger may result from improper use of the system causing injury to the user or a third person, or damage may be done to the system or other items in the vicinity. Faults that could adversely affect safety must be rectified immediately. The projector cannot be used before faults are rectified. Operating Manual 1-1 Intended Purpose The FP 30 D projector is only suitable to reproduce 35 mm films and sound. Carry out the following adjustments through the associated holes in lamphouse housing. With the aid of the hexagon screw , the xenon lamp is adjusted as much along the optical axis until only a reduced round illuminated spot can be seen on screen. By turning adjusting screws right left (horizontally) and up down (vertically) you have to bring this light spot precisely into the middle of the screen. Operating Manual 2-21 7. By turning the hexagon screw , mount the spot until the screen is illuminated evenly. NOTE Whenever in extreme special cases the described way to adjust is not possible, you can change the mirror position with the aid of the adjusting screws of mirror holder. The light arc adjustment is to be carried out by experts only, see operating manual Universal Lamphouse . 2. 4. 1. 5 Inserting Heat Filter A heat filter is necessary from a lamp capacity of 2500 W onwards. ATTENTION The heat filter is a reflection filter, therefore you have to watch out for the reflection side of filter to be directed to xenon lamp. You can see the edge of reflection coating when you look at the small side of filter holding it against the light. Lamphouse up to 2000 W: Insert filter under clamping bar fasten screws of clamping bar. Put hose out of clamp (not visible in figure 2-14) and remove red hose cap. Fill oil by means of funnel or squeeze container into the hose up to the level in the middle between the red and green oil level ring in the oil gauge glass. Turn intermittent movement manually and rotate framing knob several times so air bubbles can escape. This was only for shipping the projector. Operating Manual 2-23 2. 4. 3 Projector Terminal Strips The terminal strip with terminals 1 to 25 is mounted on the bottom of the projector. Squeeze wires (see plan of terminal connections).
