Loosen both axle screws c until the cap nuts can slide over the front fork end. In order to assemble the front wheel you do the same but in reverse order. Torques a b c Important Advice! After reassembly, do not forget to correctly hang the brake. Before starting to cycle a brake test should be made in order to assure that the brake is sitting correctly. 80 Assembly / Disassembly of the front Wheel in the Roller Brakes First of all loosen both axle nuts a. The locknuts b have to be loosened to ensure that the brake cable hangs out easily and the cable adjusting screw c has to be turned clockwise approx. When you press the cam plate d upwards, you can pull the connecting plate e diagonally downwards from the guide. The front wheel can be assembled to the fork in the same way but in reverse order. Please observe that the connecting piece is sitting in the cam plate correctly and that the cable adjusting screw is reset to the correct brake lever position. Torques d c b e a Important Advice! Before starting to cycle a brake test should be made in order to ensure that the brake is working correctly (amongst other things, repeated use of the handbrake lever). 81 Assembly / Disassembly of the rear Wheel in the Roller Brakes First of all loosen the axle nuts a. In order to loosen the connecting rivet b from the cam plate c the cam plate has to be pressed towards the front and the connecting rivet pushed in the direction of the rear wheel. The connecting rivet is now free and can be loosened from the cam plate. The disassembly of the respective gearings is described on the following pages. The rear wheel is assembled to the frame in the same way but in reverse order. Please observe that the connecting rivet is sitting correctly in the cam plate. Torques e a Important Advice! Before starting to cycle a brake test should be made in order to ensure that the brake is working correctly (amongst other things, repeated use of the handbrake lever). 82 d b c Assembly / Disassembly of the Rear Wheel in the Hubgears SRAM 5 / 7-Gear Hubgears If, in the event of a defect, (e. g. damage to the tyre) the rear wheel has to be disassembled from the frame, please observe the following assembly steps: 1. ) Set the gear lever to the 3rd gear (in the 7th gear hubgears position the gear lever to 4th gear). 2. ) Pull the gear box from the rear axle by loosening the knurled bolt a. 3. ) Loosen the axle nuts b and the safety discs so that the rear wheel can be moved freely in the frame. Now you can loosen the rear wheel from the frame by gently tapping the tyre in the direction of the front wheel. The rear wheel can be assembled to the frame again in the same way but in reverse order. Torques a Important Advice! c b The gear unit can be damaged if the assembly / disassembly of the rear wheel is carried out incorrectly. [. . . ] The returned product is KETTLER's property as soon as it is received. 102 Guarantee and Warranty Conditions The guarantee claim must illustrate the complaint, presuming that it is based on a specific defect demonstrated by facts and when the defect occurred; furthermore the date of the purchase, the name of the seller and the information concerning the requested guarantee agreement should be submitted and the completed guarantee card enclosed. All guarantee conditions are limited to the replacement of the detected damage. The damage is limited to the amount which was paid for the product in the original purchase. This liability limitation is not applicable to claims related to personal or property damage due to negligence by KETTLER. [. . . ]
