Whilst the machine is switched on, fit the filter holder by lifting into its housing and turning anti clockwise 40-45 degrees as far as possible, without over-tightening. Place one measure of espresso coffee into the filter and press down lightly using the presser (two measures for two cups). Place a cup under the filter holder (it is advisable to pre-warm the cup on the cup warming area). NEVER REMOVE THE FILTER HOLDER WHILE THE COFFEE BREWING/STEAM SWITCH ( C ) IS ON. Position switch C to the steam position ( ) and wait until the status light D goes off indicating that the unit is ready to make Cappucino. WARNING If small spurts of steam or water come out of the filter holder while waiting for the steam, this is normal. Position a cup under the Maxi Cappucino device then pull the steam lever down; at first a little water will come out immediately followed by a strong jet of steam.
