SEARCH/TRACK SEARCH] When playing back pictures of a DVD Video or DVD Audio disc, you can specify the chapter/track number to be played from the on-screen display. NOTES · When the number is incorrect in step 3: Overwrite the incorrect number with the correct number. · When is displayed in the TV screen in step 4: The disc does not have the chapter or track you have selected or does not accept the chapter/track search function. · You cannot use this function with a DVD Audio disc that does not contain any picture. 3 1 2, 4 To locate a desired position by specifying the time [TIME SEARCH] You can play a disc from the desired position by specifying the elapsed time from the beginning of the current title (for DVD Video), the current group (for DVD Audio) or the disc (for Audio CD/Video CD) using the TIME SEARCH function. Note that some DVD Video discs do not contain time information, and the TIME SEARCH function cannot be used. Advanced operations 7 During playback of pictures 1 2 Press ON SCREEN. Connect the unit so that the picture signal flows directly to the TV. No audio is reproduced. Check the connections. Select correctly. Additional information No audio is reproduced when playing back a DVD disc recorded with high-sampling (88. 2-kHz or more), linear PCM audio. Picture is garbled. The audio signal derives from the unit's DIGITAL AUDIO OUT. Use the ANALOG AUDIO OUT when playing back such discs. Disc is dirty. Wipe the disc surface. The screen saver mode is set to "MODE 1", and the screen saver function is activated. Television is not correctly set. Set the screen saver mode to the other mode. Picture does not fit the television screen. Select monitor type correctly. [. . . ]
