[. . . ] Before you begin using them, please read the instructions carefully to be sure you get the best possible performance. This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards but, like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured. [. . . ] Special arrangements may need to be made for infirm of handicapped people. DON'T use equipment such as personal stereos or radios so that you are distracted from the requirements of traffic safety. DON'T listen to headphones at high volume as such use can permanently damage your hearing. DON'T obstruct the ventilation of the equipment, for example with curtains or soft furnishing. DON'T use makeshift stands and NEVER fix legs with wood screws -- to ensure complete safety always fit the manufacturer's approved stand or legs with the fixings provided according to the instructions. DON'T allow electrical equipment to be exposed to rain or moisture. ABOVE ALL ­ NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other opening in the case. ­ this could result in a fatal electrical shock; ­ NEVER guess or take chances with electrical equipment of any kind ­ it is better to be safe than sorry!Turn off the power to the amplifier before connecting the speaker system; otherwise, the speakers may be damaged. If this does not match with the speaker impedance range indicated on the amplifier, you cannot connect this system to the amplifier. Be sure to turn down the volume level on the amplifier to prevent unwanted noise before performing following operations: ­ Turning on or off other components ­ Operating the amplifier ­ Tuning FM stations ­ Fast-forwarding a tape ­ Continuously reproducing high frequency oscillation or high pitch electronic sounds ­ Connecting or disconnecting a microphone · When using a microphone, do not aim it at the speakers or use it near the speakers; otherwise, the howling which occurs may damage the speakers. ⷠBefore replacing the cartridge, always turn off the power both to the amplifier and to the turntable; otherwise, the clicking noise may damage the speakers. If cords are covered with insulation, twist the core of the cord at the end of each cord, then remove the insulation. Observe the tag attached to each cord, and use the appropriate cord for each speaker. [. . . ] If another speaker system has been set up near the TV set, that system may cause color unevenness in the TV's picture. In spite of the shielded design of these speakers, some types of TVs may be affected by them. [. . . ]
