Slow-Motion Playback, Frame-By-Frame Playback And Playback Zoom . . . . . . . . . . . . . [. . . ] If still playback continues for more than about 3 minutes, the camcorder's Stop mode is automatically engaged. After 5 minutes in the Stop mode, the camcorder's power is automatically turned off. When 4/6 is pressed, the image may not pause immediately while the camcorder stabilizes the still image. During this time, if PAUSE (6) on the remote control is pressed, Slow-Motion Playback will start. This is not a malfunction.

Set the Power Switch to " " while pressing down the Lock Button located on the switch. Rotate MENU/BRIGHT to select the desired function, and press it to display the Sub Menu. When the highlight bar is on "1RETURN", press MENU/BRIGHT twice to close the Menu Screen.

pg. Makes the playback sound mode and tape speed appear/disappear on the camcorder. OFF (factory-preset): Makes the time code disappear on the camcorder.
NOTES: If "INDICATION" is set in the "DATE/DISPLAY" Menu ( pg. 20), "INDICATION" in the "DATE/TIME" Menu will also be set to the same setting. The parameters for "INDICATION" and "DISPLAY" are the same as in the description on pg. The "TIME CODE" setting also makes the time code appear/disappear during recording.

Playback Sound
During playback, the camcorder detects the sound mode in which the recording was made, and plays the sound back. 32, select "SOUND MODE" or "12BIT MODE" from the Menu Screen and set it to the desired parameter. SOUND L SOUND MODE SOUND R STEREO SOUND 1 12BIT MODE SOUND 2 MIX Sound from the "L" channel is output in stereo. Sound is output on both "L" and "R" channels in stereo. Original sound is output on both "L" and "R" channels in stereo. Dubbed sound is output on both "L" and "R" channels in stereo. Original and dubbed sounds are combined and output in stereo on both "L" and "R" channels in stereo.

PLAYBACK
NOTES: The "SOUND MODE" setting is available for both 12-bit and 16-bit sound. (In previous models' functions, "12-bit" is called "32 kHz" and "16-bit" is called "48 kHz". ) The camcorder cannot detect the sound mode in which the recording was made during fast-forward or rewind. During playback the sound mode is displayed in the upper left corner.
