Before beginning to operate this unit, please read the instruction manual carefully in order to make sure that the best possible performance is obtained. Do read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the equipment. Do ensure that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, extension leads and inter-connections between pieces of equipment) are properly made and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. [. . . ] The number of remaining images that can be recorded, shown on the LCD monitor, will decrease by 1 every time you take a new shot. If, however, the file size is too minimal, the number will remain the same after the shot is taken. By the same token, the number will decrease by more than 1 if the file size is too large. [Rec] icon Appears when recording Video Clip to indicate that recording is in progress. EV Level Indicator Adjust the EV Level by EV & White Balance setting, and the adjusted value will be displayed. White Balance Indicator Adjust the White Balance by EV & White Balance setting, and the adjusted value will be displayed. Battery Indicator Battery Life > 40% 20% < Battery Life < 40% 10% < Battery Life < 20% Battery Life < 10%. Macro Indicator It is displayed when the Normal /Macro switch dial is set to Macro . [. . . ] When the flash does not work: Possible cause Camera is set at the Video Clip or Play mode. When the LCD Monitor does not show well: Possible Cause The camera is held under bright sunlight.
