Example: Proceed as follows to change the amount of milk for a latte macchiato from 16 SEC to 20 SEC, the interval from 30 SEC to 20 SEC and the amount of water from 45 ML to 40 ML. Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. PRODUCT / SELECT PRODUCT E Next select the button of the product for which you would like to make settings. No product is prepared at this point. E To change the setting for a double product, press the corresponding button twice within two seconds. / PAUSE 30 SEC is displayed. g k g k g 27 4 Permanent settings in programming mode k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. PRODUCT / SELECT PRODUCT g T Turn the Rotary Switch until PRODUCT / EXIT is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit the programme item. COFFEE READY Energy-saving mode In the programme item ENERGY you can permanently set an energy-saving mode (Energy Save Mode, E. S. M. ©): U U U ENERGY SAVE NO U Your IMPRESSA is constantly ready for use. U All coffee and milk products as well as hot water can be prepared without having to wait. ENERGY SAVE LEVEL1 (Energy saving of up to 30%) U Your IMPRESSA is only constantly ready for use for coffee products and hot water. ENERGY SAVE LEVEL2 (Energy saving of up to 40%) U Approximately five minutes after the last preparation your IMPRESSA switches to the energy-saving temperature and is not ready for use. U The machine must heat up before the preparation of coffee, hot water or milk. 28 4 Permanent settings in programming mode Example: Proceed as follows to change the energy-saving mode from ENERGY SAVE NO to ENERGY SAVE LEVEL1. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. ENERGY SAVE NO g T Turn the Rotary Switch until ENERGY SAVE LEVEL1 is displayed. CONFIRMED appears briefly on the display. ENERGY g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode. COFFEE READY Automatic switch-off By instructing your IMPRESSA to automatically switch itself off, you can cut down your energy consumption. If this function is activated, your IMPRESSA switches off automatically after the preset time following the last action on the machine. You can set the automatic switch-off to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 ­ 15 hours, or inactive. Example: Proceed as follows to change the automatic switch-off from 1 HRS to 15 MIN. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. OFF AFTER 1 HRS g T Turn the Rotary Switch until OFF AFTER 15 MIN is displayed. CONFIRMED appears briefly on the display. Problem Insufficient foam is produced when the milk is frothed or milk sprays from the cappuccino frother. Coffee only comes out in drips when it is being prepared. Coffee or preground coffee has been ground too finely and is blocking the system. Water hardness cannot be adjusted. The CLARIS Blue filter cartridge is activated. The bean monitor is dirty. COFFEE READY / FILL BEANS is not displayed although the bean container is empty. TRAY EMPTY is always displayed. The metal contacts of the drip tray are dirty or wet. [. . . ]
