T Set the selector lever of the nozzle to the milk t position. en E If the nozzle does not reach into the cup, lift the cup towards the nozzle. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until STEAM is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch. it HEATING READY appears as soon as the ENA is sufficiently heated. l T Turn the switch to position m. steam. y T Turn the switch to position o when the milk foam has reached the required consistency. E STEAM, the milk is foamed by the hot g T Turn the Rotary Switch until STEAM is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch. en HEATING READY appears as soon as the ENA is sufficiently heated. l T Turn the switch to position m. You can prepare more steam within about 40 seconds. y T Turn the switch clockwise to position o when there is sufficient milk in the cup. STEAM, the hot milk is being prepared. en T Place the cup under the coffee spout. To ensure that the 2-stage frothing nozzle works perfectly, it should be rinsed E You can prepare more hot milk within about 40 seconds. To ensure that the Professional Cappuccino Frother works perfectly, it should be rinsed and cleaned regularly (refer to Chapter 4 `Maintenance ­ Professional Cappuccino Frother'). it 47 ENA 5 Heating milk with the 2-stage frothing nozzle Precondition: READY appears on the display. T Place a cup of milk below the 2-stage frothing nozzle and immerse the nozzle in the milk. Hot water E To prepare hot water, attach either the hot water nozzle or the 2-stage frothing nozzle to the Connector System©. CAUTION There is a danger of scalding from hot water splashes. y T Turn the switch clockwise when there is sufficient water in the cup. J E If the nozzle does not reach into the cup, lift the cup towards the nozzle. READY 3 Default settings in programming mode Products The following settings can be programmed for 1 coffee: Z Amount of water: 25 ML ­ 240 ML Z Coffee strength: MILD, NORMAL, g T Turn the Rotary Switch until STEAM is displayed. y T Turn the switch to position o as soon as the required temperature is reached. To ensure that the 2-stage frothing nozzle works perfectly, it should be rinsed regularly (refer to Chapter 4 `Maintenance ­ Dismantling and rinsing the 2-stage frothing nozzle'). HEATING READY appears as soon as the ENA is Z STRONG Temperature: NORMAL, HIGH The following applies when preparing 2 coffees: Z The amount of water set for 1 coffee is dispensed per cup when 2 cups are prepared. Z 2 coffees are prepared at the same temperature which is set for 1 coffee. Example: Changing the default setting for the strength of one coffee from NORMAL to STRONG. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. U Before coffee or hot water is prepared, the machine heats up. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until AROMA is displayed. WATER k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until STRONG is displayed. NORMAL g T Turn the Rotary Switch until ECONOMY p is displayed. ECONOMY - k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting. OK, the coffee strength is then adjusted. k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting. OK, the energy-saving mode is then set. en g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is displayed. AROMA g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is displayed. ENERGY p k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit the programme item. k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode. it g T Turn the Rotary Switch until EXIT is displayed. PRODUCT READY Automatic switch-off You can save energy with the automatic switchoff function on the ENA. E The automatic switch-off time can be adjusted between 0. 5 and 9 hours or deactivated (--- HRS). k T Press the Rotary Switch to exit programming mode. READY Energy-saving mode A default energy-saving mode (Energy Save Mode, E. S. M. ©) setting can be selected on the ENA. Programme item ENERGY - / p: en Z ENERGY - U The ENA is then in constant stand-by mode. U All coffee products as well as hot water can be prepared without having to wait. Z ENERGY p U After approx. 5 minutes the ENA switches to the energy-saving temperature and is not ready for use. Example: Changing the automatic switch-off time from 1 HRS to 2 HRS. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. en it 1 HRS 49 ENA 5 g T Turn the Rotary Switch until 2 HRS is displayed. [. . . ] The ENA is prompting you to descale it. TRAY MISSING T Insert the drip tray. FILL BEANS T Fill the bean container (refer to Chapter 1 `Preparing and using for the first time ­ Filling the bean container'). Chapter 4 `Maintenance ­ Cleaning the machine following a prompt').
