[. . . ] 2-2 Removal jetAudio can be removed in the same way you remove other programs. Start-Preference -Control Panel- Addition/Removal of program and then select jetAudio and click Remove. 3. How to Use If you have completed an appropriate selection on the Preference Window and on Broadcasting List, you can start broadcasting. Turn on jetCast: Activate jetCast. (Note) When there is private IP, your station may not be displayed on the Directory server except when the broadcasting is conducted along with the external server. Preference [Figure 5. 1 Station Configuration window] 5-1 Station On Figure 5. 1, you may input general information of your broadcasting station. This name will be automatically registered on jetCast home page (http://broadcast. jetaudio. com). Comments: In this space, you can write any additional comments or necessary information regarding your station. 5-2 Disc Jockey (Cyber Jockey) On Figure 5. 2, you may input the name of DJ or CJ, E-mail address and sex. Even if you don't make any input it may not affect your broadcasting. There are four choices for Broadcast schedule: 24 hour broadcast, daily broadcast, weekly broadcast, and irregular broadcast. Properties Use station name as. . . : Use station name designated on Chapter 5. 1 as for your chatting room Select Chatting port automatically: Automatic selection of port for chatting room. You can select any port of your choice( useful for users who have firewall) a name 5-5 Format On Figure 5. 5, you can select broadcasting mode. There are three choices of mode in jetAudio Plus version: MP3 mode, MP3Pro mode and WMA mode. If you choose a high Bit Rate you may expect smooth flow of broadcasting but if there is a large number of audience you may experience disturbances (buffering) from time to time. T his could be a major drawback in choosing a high Bit Rate. However, you can still broadcast by using MP3 encoder included in Windows. This particular encoder can support up to 56kbps. 5-6 Server 5-6-1 General [Figure 5. 8 Configuration for Server] 1. Internal Server - Streaming port: Provides port number for your audience. This number limits the number of audience who can actually listen to your broad cast. External Server This is an advanced level feature which can be used when you connect jetCast wit h iceCast server or shoutCast server. This feature is useful when you anticipate a larg e number of audience. If you already have a server, it can be connected with jetCast or it can be expanded to accommodate a large number of audience. When you click in "Config. . . " button on Figure 5. 8 then Figure 5-9 window for external server will be displayed. Click in "External Server" button to a ctivate. [Figure 5. 9 Configuration window for External Server ] - External Server Configuration: You can have up to five external servers; you can work from the computers other than yours. If your computer server has low bandwidth, you can use other computer which has a large bandwidth to activate jetserver. Language Selection: Enables you to choose a specific language Genre Selection: Selects broadcasting genre.
