Any other use (such as heating a room for example) is considered to be improper and consequently dangerous. The manufacturer denies all responsibility for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use of the appliance. 10 Certain fundamental rules must be followed when using electrical appliances. [. . . ] 20 Instructions to follow before turning the hob on: the glue used on the hob seals may leave greasy traces on the glass surface. We recommend you wipe these off before using the appliance, with the aid of a non abrasive cleaner. During the first few hours of use, you may detect a smell of rubber, which will disappear quickly. 14 The glass ceramic hob is resistant to thermal and mechanical shocks. 22 Metal items such as knives, forks, spoons or lids should not be placed on the hob surface, as they could overheat. 9 Installation The following instructions are intended for a qualified fitter to guide him/her along the installation, adjustment and technical maintenance procedures as correctly as possible and in full compliance with the applicable norms in force. Important: unplug the appliance before all operations (adjustment, maintenance, etc. Built-in hob installation The hobs feature a degree of protection against excessive heating, consequently, they may only be installed next to furniture cabinets which are higher than the hob surface itself. Keep to the following instructions to ensure the correct installation of hobs: a) Any cooker hoods should be installed according to the instructions and guidelines provided by the hood manufacturer. B) Built-in glass ceramic hobs can be installed on any worktop with at least 600 mm depth as long as the latter is made of materials which can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C. 595 Before proceeding with fastening the hob to the top, fit the seal (provided) along the perimeter of the hob as illustrated in the figure. Before making the connection, check that: • the limiter valve and the home system can support the appliance load (see data plate); • the mains are properly earthed in compliance with current directives and regulations; • there is easy access to the socket and omnipolar circuit breaker, once the hob has been installed. Notice: Should the hob be installed above a built-in oven, the electrical connection of the oven and hob should be separate, both for reasons of electrical safety as well as to facilitate access in the event of oven removal. €¢ 2 radiant cooking zones: - on the back left, a 1700W zone, - on the back right, a 1200W zone. €¢ 4 timers to programme all the cooking zones independently for up to a maximum of 99 minutes. P Programming The 4 cooking zones can be programmed simultaneously for up to a maximum of 99 minutes. Turning on the hob When you connect the hob to the power supply, a beep will sound after a few seconds: now you can turn the hob on by pressing key .
