Retain instructions for future reference. A qualified electrician should complete all required wiring. This fixture will accept 120 volt AC and must be properly grounded for safety. [. . . ] Leave approximately one inch of the extension arm protruding from the bottom of the bracket. Place the mounting bracket and arm assembly on the desired mounting surface. Put the assembly aside and prepare the marked locations for attaching the mounting bracket and arm assembly. Mount the extension arm assembly using the hex head lag bolts provided or other suitable method. Secure the mounting bracket solidly to the mounting surface. Fasten the reflector and lens assembly to the fixture using the two screws and washers provided. Insert the photocontrol into the socket on top of the fixture by aligning the prongs and twist clockwise to lock. The arrow on top of control should be pointed away from the mounting surface. If it is not, remove the photocontrol and reposition the socket on the top of the fixture by loosening the screw in the center of the socket. When power if first applied, some controls will turn the light on and turn off in two or three minutes. The fixture will take approximately 5-7 minutes to achieve full illumination. To check operation during daylight, cover the photocontrol with black electrical tape. Remove old lamp and replace with new lamp of correct type and wattage.
