[. . . ] We wish you much pleasure with your new "img Stage Line" unit. Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the unit. Thus, you will get to know all functions of the unit, operating errors will be prevented, and yourself and the unit will be protected against any damage caused by improper use. Thus you will always be able to see the operating elements and connections described. [. . . ] Then the title is played at standard speed, regardless of the position of the control and of the speed indication in the display. 1 Matching the beat between 2 music pieces ("Pitch Bend") With the buttons PITCH BEND (19) it is possible to synchronize the beat of a title on player mechanism 1 to the beat of a title on player mechanism 2 or vice versa. 1) First match the speed of the current music piece to the speed of the second music piece with the PITCH CONTROL (14). 2) Synchronize the beats of both music pieces with the buttons PITCH BEND: as long as the button ­ or + is kept pressed, the title is played by 16 % faster or slower than at standard speed and the speed indication (h) in the display flashes. 3) By turning the rotary wheel (5), the speed can also be changed for matching the beat. For this purpose the rotary wheel must not be switched to "fast forward/reverse" or "fast title selection" [LED next to the button SEARCH/SKIP (6) lights up or flashes]. If so, shortly press the button SEARCH/SKIP so many times until the LED next to it is extinguished. With activated function, the LED next to the button lights up and the display shows "Search" in the text line (k). 2) Turn the rotary wheel (5): As long as the wheel is turned clockwise, the unit advances on the CD; as long as it is turned counter-clockwise, the unit reverses on the CD. The forward or reverse speed depends on the turning speed of the wheel. 3) To deactivate the function "fast forward/reverse" , shortly press the button SEARCH/SKIP (6) twice: "Search" will disappear in the display and the LED next to the button will be extinguished.
