[. . . ] Press the Alarm Button at any time during clock setting to toggle the display between 24 hour (military) and 12 hour (standard) display mode. Press the or button to select the current date (press and hold to enter fast scroll mode). Press the Button again (or no button press within 10 seconds) to exit the clock setting mode. 2 beeps will confirm clock setting is complete. 5 Using the Alarm Setting the Alarm 1. Press and hold the Alarm Button until the alarm icon and alarm hour flashes on the display. When the alarm is sounding, press the snooze button to silence the alarm for the set snooze time. Press the snooze button during normal operation to step through the display dimmer settings: High, medium, low and off. 6 Listening to iPod/iPhone 1. The iP49 will automatically turn on and you will hear the music playing from your iPod/iPhone. Note: If the playing song/music loudness is too low on the iPod itself, the iP49 may not detect that the iPod/iPhone is in play mode. When the iPhone/iPod is docked and in standby mode, press the Button to play it. When the iPhone or iPod is in play mode, press the Button to pause play; press again to resume play. Press the BonGiovi Button to activate the DPS active digital processing circuit. Press the eq Button as needed to cycle through treble and bass sound settings. Your iPhone/iPod will continue charging while in the dock if unit is connected to AC power. It will not charge when running on internal battery. Listening to FM Radio Setting up the Antenna Insert the FM Antenna plug into the Aux-in/FM Antenna Jack on the back of the unit. Press the Radio/AUX Button as needed to turn iP49 on and toggle between FM radio and aux-in modes. The last selected radio station will play and the frequency will appear in the display. If needed, move the radio mono/stereo switch located on back of the unit to mono to improve reception/signal. Setting and using FM Presets You can set and save up to 6 radio station presets in memory. A number will flash indicating the preset number being set and the accompanying frequency. Press the or Button to change the station (hold as above for station seek). To review your presets, press and hold the preset button until the display flashes, then press the or Button. [. . . ] Please make sure your iPod/iPhone is working properly before dock into the unit. If iPod/iPhone original sound source is poor quality, distortion and noise are easily noticed with high-power speakers. Try reducing the output volume and EQ settings such as bass boost on the device itself. Remote control doesn't work Battery is weak or dead Remote Control is too far away or not aimed properly toward the device Remote switch is in AUTO position Unit is/feels warm This is normal.
