[. . . ] Only the sensor is water resistant, the device itself is not water resistant. The thermometer is only to be used for measuring the temperature of the human body. ⷠIncorrect operation and improper handling may cause problems with the appliance and/or injury to the user. [. . . ] However, it should be noted that the body's temperature varies depending upon age and the time that the reading is taken. This devise may also be used to measure other types of temperature, for instance, of the skin, water, milk and ambient temperature. It is important to point out that it is not necessary for the thermometer to be in direct contact with the material. Please only replace the battery when the weak battery symbol appears in the LCD display (E) (see page 21). Read the chapter on waste disposal and care of the environment for more details . The meanings of the symbols can be found on pages 20 and 21 of this instruction manual. switching on the temple and ear thermometer: · Press the On/Off button (D) for one second, the device is switched on following calibration. After calibration "M1" or "M2" (memory position 1 or memory position 2) appears on the display (fig. Press the On/Off button (D), if you wish to move from one memory position to the other. Do not throw away the used battery with your household rubbish but put it with the hazardous waste or in a battery collection box at a specialist shop. At the end of its life cycle, this product must not be disposed of in regular domestic waste, but must be taken to a collection site for recycling electric and electronic devices (disposal of used appliances).
