Position bowed strap ends against fan hub face & over unused holes in fan hub. . 010-. 050 clearance between tip of flywheel tooth to root of starter pinion tooth. Push item 21, starter motor seal, over starter shaft until firmly against front surface of starter motor. Use Scotch 3M 1300 adhesive or equivalent on outside edge of starter motor seal. When installing item 19, starter motor end shield, make sure it clears ring gear on flywheel (outboard) upon engagment of starter.
