SAE 5W-30 oil should be used during the winter (below freezing point). Make sure that the cutting unit is in the transport position (top position) and that the lever for connection/disconnection of the cutting unit is in the disconnection position. If the engine will not start, wait about 10 seconds before the next try. Let the ignition key return to the "ON" position when the engine has started and push in the choke control as soon as the engine is running smoothly. Depress forward drive pedal to full forward position, hold for five (5) seconds and release pedal. Depress reverse drive pedal to full reverse position, hold for five (5) seconds and release pedal. Unbalance in one or both blades resulting from damage or poor balancing after sharpening.
