I. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • GENERAL OPERATION Read, understand, and follow all instructions in the manual and on the machine before starting. Only allow responsible adults, who are familiar with the instructions, to operate the machine. Clear the area of objects such as rocks, toys, wire, etc. , which could be picked up and thrown by the blade. [. . . ] Clean the foam pre-cleaner after every 25 hours of operation or every season. Service paper cartridge every 100 hours of operation or every season, whichever occurs first. • Gently tap the flat side of the paper cartridge to dislodge dirt. Do not wash the paper cartridge or use pressurized air, as this will damage the cartridge. • Reinstall the pre-cleaner (cleaned and oiled) over the paper cartridge. • Reinstall air cleaner cover and secure by tightening knob. IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig. If fuel filter becomes clogged, obstructing fuel flow to carburetor, replacement is required. • Place new fuel filter in position in fuel line with arrow pointing towards carburetor. • Be sure there are no fuel line leaks and clamps are properly positioned. • Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline. CLAMP CLAMP FUEL FILTER FIG. • Keep finished surfaces and wheels free of all gasoline, oil, etc. We do not recommend using a garden hose to clean your tractor unless the electrical system, muffler, air filter and carburetor are covered to keep water out. Water in engine can result in a shortened engine life. Remove retainer spring holding anti-swaybar to chassis bracket and disengage anti-swaybar from bracket. Remove retainer springs from suspension arms at deck and disengage arms from deck. Slide mower out from under right side of tractor. TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING Adjust the mower while tractor is parked on level ground or driveway. Make sure tires are properly inflated (See “PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS” on page 3 of this manual). If tires are over or underinflated, you will not properly adjust your mower.
