The pump capacity is adjusted by means of the throttle handle, and gets its movement by the motor shaft sending the oil into the carburetor duct. Should a substantial amount of water be poured into the tank, replace the liquid as soon as possible. WARNING Avoid removing radiator cap when engine is hot, as coolant may spout out and cause scalding. NOTE Difficulties may arise in eliminating coolant from varnished surfaces. 17) According to the descriptions on the "Periodical maintenance card" replace the coolant WITH COLD ENGINE by operating as follows: - remove the right radiator cap (1); - remove the liquid drain screw (2) on the right side of the crankcase; - tilt the motorcycle over the left side to right out all the liquid; - reassemble the liquid drain plug - pour the right quantity of liquid into the radiator (page 24) and warm up the motor to eliminate possible air bubbles; - set the motorcycle in vertical position, check the level, and top up if necessary; - tighten the radiator cap. Note*: Should the outside temperature be too low and prevent proper functioning, apply adhesive material to protect radiator finnings. CARBURETOR Once properly regulated, the carburetor requires very little readjustment; therefore before readjusting is undertaken, the other parts of the engine should have been carefully inspected. Before adjusting, make sure throttle coil wire allows for complete throttle closing with outward handlebar grip movement. 18) This regulation must always be carried out with warm engine and throttle closed.
