[. . . ] COOKING WITH BUTTER butter is melted without altering its qualities, before adding food (such as meat, fish, etc. OIL oil is heated without altering its qualities, before adding food (such as meat, fish, doughnuts and fritters, etc. GRIDDLE your griddle pan is heated to the ideal temperature for your meat to seal and cook without the need for fat. • For the “butter”, “oil” and “griddle” settings, the temperature adjustment stops and the hob returns to manual mode and you are free to modify the mode, temperature setting as necessary. Option 2: If you press both the top and lower part of the cooking zone control key simultaneously, the beeping stops, as does the temperature adjustment. In any case, the flashing programmed setting indicator light on the power level display indicates a pre-heating phase, whereas a fixed lit indicator light indicates the dish has reached the desired temperature. 22 Programming in cookeye® mode How to turn off the cookeye® device At any time, you can cancel a programmed setting in cookeye® mode: • press both the lower and top parts of the cooking zone control key simultaneously the six simultaneously: programmed setting indicator lights on the power level display begin to flash, • press again both the lower and top parts of the cooking zone control key simultaneously: the power level display turns off and the cooking zone goes back to normal mode, • to go back to cookeye® mode, press these keys again. GB To turn off the cookeye® device, press the red button for 3 seconds and the cooking zone will go back to normal mode. If the cookeye® device is switched off involuntarily, the hob will signal this fault: all the programmed setting symbols will flash and the hob will beep. If you fail to do anything about it, the cooking zone power will begin to drop to a level immediately beneath the one which would have allowed the temperature to be maintained at a suitable level. After one minute, the cooking zone is turned off if it has not received any signals from the cookeye® device. You can programme a cooking time in cookeye® mode, just as you would in normal mode. Set Press the the desired cooking time by pressing the lower and/ or top part of the cooking zone control key. The countdown begins after the pre-heating phase (the cooking time display flashes) • and after you have acted on the keys • or following the detection that something has been added to the pan (pasta to boiling water for example). It is however possible to start the countdown by pressing the timer key for 3 seconds; in this case, no acoustic alarm is sounded at the end of preheating. Note The hob allows you to programme several cooking zones simultaneously, whether they are in normal mode or in cookeye® mode. 23 The safety devices GB Pan recognition Acoustic signal Each induction cooking zone is fitted with a pan recognition device. The cooking zone only provides heat in the presence of a pan which is suitable for the cooking zone. Your induction hob is therefore perfectly in keeping with legal requirements (89/336/CEE directives). It is designed not to create interference on any other electrical apparatus being used on condition that the apparatus in question also complies with this legislation. To avoid any interference between your induction hob and a pacemaker, the latter must be designed to comply with relevant regulations. [. . . ]
