Ensure that the electrical installation has an earth connection and that it is connected; if not call for service. Do not allow the appliance to be used by children without due supervision. ⷠDo not pull the mains lead or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket. [. . . ] It is also recommended for mixed fabrics, articles which are not very dirty and for fabrics which do not need to be ironed. To finish the programme with the spin cycle, press the button again to release it. Next open the drum door following these instructions: Press catch (B) and kept it pressed down. Close the second shutter (D) so that the catch on the first shutter fits correctly into the slot. The detergent dispenser is divided into 4 compartments: -COMPARTMENT I is for prewash detergent, either liquid or powder. For the various types of fabrics and various degrees of dirt the washing machine has 3 different programme bands according to: wash cycle, temperature and length of cycle (see table of washing cycle programmes). 1 For POWDERED DETERGENT, the blue gate should be in the top position. 2 For LIQUID DETERGENT, the blue gate should be in the bottom position. * Before doing this, check that there is no water remaining from the previous wash. 1 Strong Fabrics The programmes have been designed for a maximum wash and rinses, with spin intervals, ensure perfect rinsing. 2 Mixed and Synthetic Fabrics Pre-wash and main wash give best results thanks to the rotation rhythms of the drum; the rinses with high water levels ensure delicate treatment and best results. 3 Special Delicate Fibres This is a new wash cycle which alternates washing and soaking and is for very delicate fabrics such as Pure New Wool. The wash cycle and rinses are carried out with high water levels to ensure best results. IMPORTANT: When washing heavy rugs, bed spreads and other heavy articles, it is advisable not to spin. To be machine-washed, woollen garments and other articles in wool must bear the "Pure New Wool" mark and the indication "will not shrink" or "machine washable". The programme for very delicate fabrics can be finished by selecting: - discharge only or - delicate spin The delicate spin programme is indispensable particularly for knitwear in order to avoid stretching during drying. -cushion covers are buttoned, zips and hooks are closed, loose belts and long tapes on dressing gowns are knotted. -when sorting, any tough stains should be removed with special detergent or washing cream before loading. [. . . ] In the case of the bleach and fabric conditioner compartments, the two traps M should be removed by turning them 90º anti-clockwise and pulling up on them. Remove any solid residue which could block the holes in the compartments.
