The flow rate is adjusted by turning the valve insert from the closed position to the calculated value. The relationship between the number of turns and the flow rate can be read off the flow diagram where `open' refers to the fully open position ­ valve insert turned anti-clockwise as far as possible. Pre-setting only needs to be done on one side either supply or return. The supply and return of the radiator can be shut-off by turning the valve inserts fo the Verafix-VKE clockwise to the closed position with a 6 mm Allan key. Shutting-off the radiator with the Verafix-VKE causes the pre-setting to be lost. Pre-settable Verafix-VKE lockshield valves are supplied set fully open.
