Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Reliable functioning depends upon a technically correct installation following the manufacturer`s advice especially in regard to the mounting position and place installation. Also it is important that the manufacturer`s information about service and maintenance is followed during the planning and building of the installation. magnetic coils (solenoids) can reach operating temperatures of up to 85 °C (185 °F). [. . . ] The Solenoid housing must never be used as a lever-arm during mounting. Freezing lf the Solenoid valve is to be used in an ambient temperature or with a medium temperature of O°C or lower, or if such circumstances cannot be completely excluded, it is necessary to mount the valve so that it cannot be frozen (e. Starting-up On first use of the Solenoid valve, make sure that the medium in the line is completely throttled by another valve upstream of the Solenoid valve. Open this controlling valve slowly so as to gradually expose the Solenoid valve to the full line pressure. A sudden impact of the full line pressure on the Solenoid valve on the first occasion of use, may cause an uncontrolled opening of the valve. Back Pressure lf back pressure at the output side of the valve is 0. 6 bar above the inlet pressure, the piston will be lifted from its seat and the medium will flow back through the valve. Maintenance To prevent possible jamming of the piston, the valve should be operated 5 to 10 times per month. Painting the Solenoid The Solenoid must not be painted otherwise the cooling will be affected. filter Trouble-free function of the valve will be hindered if dirt (weld particles , rust flakes , scale) prevents the valve from sealing tight. The Type number of the magnet system forms part of the complete valve part number. example: T40G31 F Protection IP 65 to DIN 40 050 fr = suitable for outdoor use. Power Requirement 50 VA with the magnet warmed Duty Cycle 100 % The AC current is connected to two terminals on a board in the plug. The earth lead is taken directly to a nut (located beneath the circuit board) see diagramm. [. . . ] For Solenoids of the series G31 and G35-Ex must have the following values for trouble free operation: All values are on the DC side and therefore measured after the plug included rectifier and are given for a solenoid temperature of 20 °C. Lf the measured values deviate considerably from those of the table there must be a fault in the solenoid. Voltage measurements on the secondary side of the rectifier without load (coil) have no significance therefore never measure DC voltages from the plug when it is pulled out. [. . . ]
