Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise can cause hearing loss. Check that the insert tools used are compatible with the chuck system and that they are secured in the chuck correctly. Functional description The TE 6-S / TE 6-C rotary hammer drills with selectable pneumatic hammering mechanism are electrically-powered tools for drilling in concrete, masonry, plasterboard (drywall), wood, plastics and metal. The TE 6-C features an additional chiselling function suitable for light-duty chiselling work. The tools are designed for professional use. Concealed electric cables, gas and water pipes present a serious hazard if damaged while working. Assembly The tool must not be connected to the electric mains supply. Slide the side handle / clamping band over the chuck onto the housing (clamping groove). Rotate the chuck until the sleeve engages. 7. 4 Hammer drilling with full hammering action (TE6-S / TE6-C) 3a 3b -CAUTION The material may splinter during drilling. Wear eye protection, protective gloves and, if a dust removal system is not used, also wear breathing protection. 4. Press the control switch as far as it will go when you wish to continue at full speed. When the switch is in this position, only the hammering action is transferred to the insert tool and the blade position is fixed. Turn the lever to the (L ) or position (R ). -CAUTION The tool and the drilling operation emit noise. Press the control switch slowly (drill at a slow speed until the drill bit has become centred in the hole). Press the control switch as far as it will go when you wish to continue at full speed. Do not apply excessive pressure as this will not increase hammering power. [. . . ] This warranty is valid so long as the tool is operated and handled correctly, cleaned and serviced properly and in accordance with the Hilti Operating Instructions, all warranty claims are made within 12 months from the date of the sale (invoice date), and the technical system is maintained. This means that only original Hilti consumables, components and spare parts may be used in the tool. This warranty provides the free-of-charge repair or replacement of defective parts only.
