[. . . ] 6. 1 Battery use and care NOTE Battery performance drops at low temperatures. Change to the second battery as soon as a drop in performance is noticed. Never store the battery where it is exposed to direct sunlight or sources of heat, e. g. Batteries that have reached the end of their life must be disposed of safely and correctly to avoid environmental pollution. 6. 2 Charging the battery 6. 2. 2 Charging a previously used battery CAUTION Use only the Hilti chargers listed under "Tools and accessories". Ensure that the outer surfaces of the battery are clean and dry before inserting it in the corresponding charger. Read the operating instructions for the charger for further information about the charging procedure. 6. 3 Fitting the battery CAUTION Before fitting the battery, check that the tool is switched off and that the transport lock is engaged (forward/reverse switch in the middle position). Use only the Hilti batteries intended for use with this tool (SFB 150 or SFB 155). Push the battery into the tool from below until it is heard to engage with a click. CAUTION A falling battery may present a risk of injury to yourself or others. Pull the battery downwards out of the tool. en CAUTION Use only Hilti SFB 150 or SFB 155 batteries. 6. 2. 1 Charging a new battery for the first time A new battery must be charged correctly for the first time before use. Operation 7. 1 Setting forward or reverse rotation 3 NOTE The forward / reverse switch is used to select the direction of rotation of the drive spindle. The control switch is locked when the forward / reverse switch is in the middle position. Push the forward / reverse switch to the right (tool held in working direction) for forward rotation. Push the forward / reverse switch to the left (tool held in working direction) for reverse rotation. 7. 2 Speed selection 7. 2. 1 Speed selection using the 2-speed switch (SF 151-A) 4 NOTE The mechanical 2-speed gear switch can be used to select the speed range required. or 2nd gear: 01455 r. p. m. 19 en 7. 2. 2 Speed selection using the 3-speed switch (SFH 151-A) 5 NOTE The mechanical 3-speed gear switch can be used to select the speed range required. Speeds with fullycharged battery: 1st gear: 0-370 r. p. m. , 2nd gear: 01380 r. p. m. , 3rd gear: 02000 r. p. m. 7. 3 Switching on / off CAUTION To avoid damage to the tool, the switch must be released (switched off) if the motor is stalled for more than 2-3 seconds. Push the forward / reverse switch to the left or right. en The battery is discharged. Change the battery and recharge the discharged battery. Charge the battery in refresh charge mode (please refer to the operating instructions for the charger). Battery condition is not optimal. The retaining lugs on the battery are dirty.
