Failure to observe this point may present a risk of injury to the user. 5. 5 Requirements to be met by users O The equipment is intended for professional use. O The equipment may be operated, serviced and repaired -WARNINGOverhead drilling with the drill stand fastened only by means of the vacuum baseplate is n0t permissible. Lower the diamond coring machine into position on the carriage from above. Attach the diamond coring machine to the carriage by turning the securing knob. From below, slide the water collector into position on the diamond coring machine (DD EC-l) until it engages. Fit a core bit into the diam0nd coring machine (see DD EC-1 operating instructions). Unscrew the leveling screws until they project only about 2 mm beyond the bottom edge of the baseplate. Connect the hose between the vacuum connection on the baseplate and the vacuum pump. 8, Switch on the vacuum pump and bring the vacuum baseplate in to the desired position while pressing the vacuum retease vatve. When the baseplate is positioned correctly, press it firmly against the working surface and remove y0ur finger from the vacuum release valve. -NOTEWhen drilling horizontally, employ an additional means of securing the drill stand (e. 9. a chain fastened to an anchor). only by authorized, trained personnel. Before beginning, and while drilling is taking place, check to ensure that the pressure gauge indicator remains in the green area. 11. Align the diamond coring machine with the center of the hole to be drilled. Level the drill stand by turning the leveling screws (the diamond coring machine is equipped with a bubble level). Connect the supply cord to the electric power supply and connect the water supply hose (see DD EC-1 operatin g instructions). 6. 3 Using anchors (HKD MB) t0 fasten the drill stand 'l . g -NOTE. Use of the water c0llect0r in conjunction with the DD-REC 1 water recycling system 0r a wet-type vacuum cleaner is absolutely essential when working overhead on ceilings. Use an anchor (HKD M8) or quick-release brace to fasten the drill stand to the ceiling. Connect the hose between the water collector and the DD-REC 1 water recycling unit or a wet-type vacuum cleaner. [. . . ] This warranty is valid as long as the tool is operated and handled correctly, cleaned and serviced properly and in accordance with the Hilti Operating lnstructions, all warranty claims are made within 12 months from the date of the sale (invoice date), and the technical system is maintained. This means that only original Hilti consumables, c0mp0nents and spare parts may be used in the tool. This warranty provides the free-of-charge repair or replacement of defective parts only. Parts requiring repair or replacement as a result of normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty. Additional claims are excluded, unless stringent national rules prohibit such exclusion. ln particular, Hilti is not obligaled for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses or expenses in connection with, or by reason of, the use ol, or inability to use the toolfor any purpose.
