Waterproofing membranes are designed to bridge small moving cracks. 8. 2. 7. 4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Surface Preparations Surfaces to be coated with CC410EP must be clean and free of surface contamination, such as dust, dirt and laitance. Concrete surfaces may be prepared by high pressure water cleaning, wire brushing, sand or shot blasting, or acid etching. If acid etching is chosen, the surface must be thoroughly rinsed with clear water afterward, to remove all traces of muriatic acid. Where previously applied coatings are present, in many cases they may remain in place if desired. The coatings must be firmly bonded, and a test patch of CC410EP must be applied to determine adhesion.
