[. . . ] OPERATIONAL GUIDE POWER CONNECTION HI 983314-0 and HI 98331400 Connect a 2-wire power cable to the terminal strip while paying attention to the correct positive and negative contacts (12 VDC). HI 983314-1 Connect a 3-wire power cable to the terminal strip while paying attention to the correct earth, neutral and line contacts (115/230 VAC). [. . . ] TAKING MEASUREMENTS Attach the resistivity probe to the meter and immerse it in the solution to be monitored while making sure that the metal pins are completely submerged. The corresponding led will light up to indicate that you are operating in measurement mode. The resistivity value of the solution will be displayed on the LCD in M/cm unit. SELECTING SETPOINT The meter allows to select the setpoint value that will act on the alarm contact. The corresponding led will light up and the display will show the default or previously selected value. Adjust the SET trimmer on the front panel by using a small screwdriver, until the required setpoint value is displayed. Adjust the calibration trimmer on the top of the meter until the resistivity value of calibration solution is displayed. ERROR MESSAGES Problems with probe connections, or temperature too low to assure correct reading. MECHANICAL DIMENSIONS AND ASSEMBLING OF PANELMOUNTED UNIT The supplied adjustable location brackets allow the controller to slide into the cutout of the panel, and will hold the unit in place. 95 mm (3. 74'') is the minimum of space required to install the controller. CE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY SELECTING TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT The reading is automatically corrected for temperature variations by using the linear compensation method: R 25=Rt(1+(t-25)) where Rt is the resistivity at the temperature t. The temperature coefficient is selectable through the jumpers on rear panel. To select = 4. 5%/ºC, close the jumper on the left: To select = 3. 5%/ºC, close the upper jumper: To select = 2. 4%/ºC, close the lower jumper: Note : if the coefficient 4. 5%/ºC is selected, a minimum measurement temperature of 10ºC is suggested to maintain the best accuracy of the meter.
