[. . . ] The housing allows for functional control of the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen control pad. NOTE: There is NO access to the power or shuffle switches on the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen when the waterproof housing is closed. NOTE: The shuffle is NOT waterproof without the H2O Audio housing and headphones, and is NOT covered under the product warranty. Any attempt to use the housing with an audio player other than the Apple iPod shuffle 2nd Gen will void the Warranty. [. . . ] Push the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen all the way onto the stereo plug until the shuffle is seated completely within the Tray. 4. Turn on the iPod shuffle 2nd Gen before installing the Tray in the Silicon Sleeve. There is no access to the power or shuffle switchs once in the Silicon Sleeve. 3. 2 3 1. Using your other hand, squeeze the Finger Grips of the Silicone Sleeve at the Seal Area and pull the Silicone Sleeve away from the Tray. Removing the iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen 1. Using your Tray thumb to block the opening at the bottom of the Tray will prevent the shuffle shuffle from falling out once disconected. Gently pushing the shuffle down, unplugging it from the Tray and Clip slide out. 2. Ensure the shuffle's Control Pad and the Control Pad of the Silicone Sleeve are both aligned and facing up. 3. Slide the Silicone Sleeve all the way to the top of the Tray, until it mates tightly. Do NOT slide Silicone Sleeve over the Clip located on the back of the housing. 4. Inspect the Seal Area after closing to ensure that you have a tight seal between the Tray and the Silicone Sleeve. Ensure there are no gaps between the Silicon Sleeve and Tray, they must be completely flush. If you have any concerns, please repeat the Leak Test from Section 4. S8 - 70 20070713 NOTE: Grabing the Silicone Sleeve at the highest point possible on the Finger Grips will help open the housing. 8. Connecting the Headphones The SealTightTM Connector (which is only featured on the H2O Audio Waterproof Housing) is what keeps your audio connection safe and dry underwater. It is designed specifically to create a seal around the H2O Audio Series Waterproof Headphones (sold separately). Using any other headphones will reduce the waterproof rating to water-resistant as the headphone connection will not be completely waterproof. 9. General Storage Procedures For long-term storage, store in a plastic bag out of direct sunlight. CAUTION: Do not expose the housing to extreme heat, such as the inside of a hot car, or in hot direct sunlight, such as on a beach, or boat deck. Doing so may cause damage and subsequent flooding. CAUTION: The housing is susceptible to internal condensation with extreme temperature fluctuations. When used in temperatures below freezing, frost will appear on the interior of the housing. CAUTION: Do not store housing in the following environments: 10. To create a waterproof connection, align the 3. 5mm stereo plug on the headphones with the stereo jack of the housing. It is extreamly important that the Lanyard is used to secure the waterproof housing to the Sport Armband. Running the armband strap though the Lanyard will secure the housing to the armband. * Solvents or other chemical fumes * High humidity * High Ozone * Extreme temperature fluctuations Storing the housing in these conditions may lead to a damaged housing, causing it to leak.
