[. . . ] 1 Insert the small nozzle into the telescopic suction tube A . Brushes A multi-floor brush and a cleaning roller (fabric master) are supplied: ­ Multi-floor brush: floor brush with adjustable height for carpets or hard floors. ­ Fabric master: cleaning roller for cleaning textiles and material such as curtains (does not suck up the material). Depending on your requirement, use the multifloor brush supplied or the fabric master. 1 Insert the brush or the fabric master into the telescopic suction tube A . 2 Depending on the depth of the carpet pile, move the switch to the multi-floor brush. Note 7 The nozzle can also be inserted onto the curved tube B if needed. 1 ENGLISH 17 INDIVIDUAL PARTS _____________________________________________ Suction brush attachment Use the suction brush attachment 2 for cleaning furniture, picture frames, books, etc. 1 Insert the suction brush attachment 2 into the telescopic suction tube A . 2 Note 7 The small suction tube and the suction brush attachment are stored in the holder for accessories on the curved tube B . 18 ENGLISH OPERATION __________________________________________________________ Check that the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the appliance) corresponds to your local mains supply. 3 At the top of the suction tube, insert the grip of the suction hose onto the lower end of the floor brush. Setting up Your appliance is supplied with a fitted dust container. Once you have assembled the individual parts, the appliance is ready to operate. 1 Insert the contact of the flexible hose C into the socket on the dust container until it latches in. Note 7 To remove the flexible hose C , press the catch on the top of the contact and pull it out. 2 Plug in both suction tubes firmly with A and B by turning slightly. 4 Press and turn all the plug connectors to plug in and release again by pulling and turning. ENGLISH 19 OPERATION __________________________________________________________ Switching on and off 1 Pull out the power cord to the length you require. Never attempt to pull out the power cord beyond the red marking. F 4 Set the suction power with switch F . E 5 After use, switch off the appliance with the G button and disconnect the power cord from the wall socket. Yellow Red Caution 7 Always disconnect the power cord if the appliance is not being used. 2 Plug the power cord into the wall socket. 3 Press the G button to switch on the appliance. Suction control A suction control is located on the handle B , which you can operate with your thumb. However, in some cases such as when cleaning material or upholstery, it is advisable to have less suction power. Open the control if and when required. G 20 ENGLISH OPERATION __________________________________________________________ Retracting the power cord 1 Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall socket. 2 Hold the power cord in one hand and press and hold down the E button. 3 Guide the power cord carefully into the appliance. E Caution 7 Always retract the power cord carefully, as pressing fully on the E button and retracting it very quickly can cause unpredictable cable movements. ENGLISH 21 CLEANING AND CARE ________________________________________ Cleaning the dust container 1 Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall socket. 3 Take the dust container out by pressing on the catch K and pull up the dust container with the handle. 5 Close the dust container by shutting the catch flap until it latches in. [. . . ] 5 If required, fit a new filter in the holder and insert the holder again. 6 Fit the dust container back in. ENGLISH 23 CLEANING AND CARE ________________________________________ The air outlet blower 1 Remove the grille over the air outlet opening (on the back of the appliance). Troubleshooting This appliance is fitted with a safety switch which automatically switches off the motor when it overheats. In the event of overheating, proceed as follows: 1 Turn the appliance off and unplug the power supply unit from the mains. 2 Look for the cause of the overheating (blocked hose/tube, dirty filter, etc. ).
