H Controls A Professional cutting head made from industrial ceramic (width 25 mm). ENGLISH 19 POWER SUPPLY ___________________________________ Mains operation (with the power supply unit) Check if the mains voltage on the type plate of the power supply unit supplied corresponds to your local mains supply. The only way to disconnect the device from the mains is to unplug the power supply unit. Caution 7 When in the bathroom or beside a water connection, only use the appliance in battery mode; never run it from the mains. 20 ENGLISH OPERATION ________________________________________ Special features This appliance has four separate functions: ­ Function 1: for precise and smooth beard trimming at a width of 25 mm. ­ Function 3: for beard trimming with various cutting lengths (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 mm) at widths of 25 mm or 14 mm. 1 If required, remove the attachment by pressing down both thumbs on the front of the attachment and pushing back. 2 Insert the ceramic cutting head A at the back with the guide tab and press it down with your thumbs until it clicks into place. 3 Place a towel around your neck and shoulders. Function 1 Beard trimming Using the ceramic cutting head A (width 25 mm). Switching on/off 1 Press the B button to switch on the appliance. 3 Press the B button to switch off the appliance. ENGLISH 21 OPERATION ________________________________________ 4 Loosen the beard hair by combing the beard in the direction the hair grows. Note 7 Press and hold down switch F to use the turbo speed for removing any unwanted hair before you begin styling. Function 2 Cutting fine lines Using the trimming attachment G (width 14 mm). 1 If required, remove the attachment by pressing down both thumbs on the front of the attachment and pushing back. 2 Insert the trimming attachment G at the back with the guide tab and press it down with your thumbs until it clicks into place. 22 ENGLISH OPERATION ________________________________________ Function 3 Trimming beards at certain cutting lengths Using the extendable attachment H . 3 Pull the extendable attachment H from behind, with the combs over the cutting head and let it click into the locking tab. 4 Adjust the cutting length (2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 mm) by pressing on the lock under the cutting length display and then move the comb to the setting you want. 1 If required, remove the attachment by pressing down both thumbs on the front of the attachment and pushing back. 2 Insert the A (width 25 mm) or G (width 14 mm) attachment at the back with the guide tab and press it down with your thumbs until it clicks into place. ENGLISH 23 OPERATION ________________________________________ Function 4 Close shaving Using the shaving attachment I . 1 If required, remove the attachment by pressing down both thumbs on the front of the attachment and pushing back. 2 Insert the shaving attachment I at the back with the guide tab and press it down with your thumbs until it clicks into place. Note 7 Do not apply a lot of pressure when shaving, as this could damage the single blade foil. 24 ENGLISH CLEANING AND CARE___________________________ Cleaning and care 1 Switch off the appliance and unplug it if you are running it from the mains.
