The video recorder is in recording standby mode. 23 ENGLISH RECORDING _______________________________________________________________________________ Interrupting the recording standby mode of the video recorder This is necessary if you have programmed TIMER positions and wish to use the recorder while it is in recording standby mode. 1 Press the » TIMER ON/OFF « button. 3 Carry out the desired function. Re-activating the recording standby mode of the video recorder 1 Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time and intact erase tab then press the » TIMER ON/OFF« button. ­ The time is displayed on the recorder and the TIMER indicator » V« is lit. [. . . ] » ­ : ­ ­ « appears on the video recorder instead of the time. Recording of TV programmes not possible (only snow on the picture screen). Cause Mains plug disconnected or poor contact. Failure of the TV transmitter, or defective aerial system. Remedy Insert the mains plug or use a different mains supply socket. Connect the aerial cable. Tune to channel. Check by selecting the channel to be recorded on the TV set, or ask your neighbour if s/he can receive this channel. [. . . ]
