Do not place any vessels, such as vases, on the device as they may tip over and spill the liquid, which poses an electrical hazard. Do not place any naked flames such as candles on the device or in close proximity. Even if the device is switched off, it can be damaged by a lightning strike to the mains. [. . . ] Note: Bi-directional data transfer as defined for ITE devices in EN 55022/EN 555024 is not possible. It is only an additional function. Connecting earphones or headphones 1 Plug the head/earphones into the »U« socket on the digital picture frame. ­ The loudspeakers of the digital picture frame will be switched off automatically. Note: Prolonged listening at loud volumes with headphone or earphones can damage your hearing. 17 ENGLISH ( CONNECTION AND PREPARATION ---Changing the front bars There are three pairs of front bars supplied in the colours silver, red and white. 1 Remove the front frame by pushing both the locks »LOCK« on the rear panel of the device to the right or left, pressing the frame forwards and removing. 2 Remove the front bars from the front frame by pressing on each of them through the respective opening ­ if necessary, use a suitable object. 3 Place the front frame accurately onto the holders on the upper edge of the picture frame again. 18 CONNECTION AND PREPARATION ---4 Fit the picture frame into the lower edge of the front frame and push both the locks »LOCK« to the left or right on the rear panel of the device. 5 Insert one pair of the front bars (colours silver, red and white) supplied at delivery accurately into the recesses in the front frame (the front bars grip magnetically). Note: When attaching the lower front bar, make sure that the opening in the bar is located exactly in front of the infrared sensor for the remote control signals. 2 Press » « on the remote control to switch the digital picture frame to standby. 8 8 Adjusting the volume 1 Press »VOL +« or »VOL ­« on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback; or adjust the volume on the device using »a« or »s«. Selecting options in the main menu (without data storage medium) 1 1 Press »MENU« to open the main menu. ­ Two symbols appear: ­ »Setup«: system and playback settings. The correct settings for the date and time must be made before these can function. Setup 2 Select the symbol using »a« or »s« and activate using »OK«. Note: Prerequisite for playback mode (pictures and music) is a data medium which contains the data required. After inserting the data medium a further selection symbol appears in the main memory menu: »SD/MMC« (memory card) or »USB« (removable storage medium). 3 Switch back to full screen and automatic picture playback by pressing »v« repeatedly until the playback symbol »s« appears. Note: If the picture was enlarged by 1 to 3 levels, it will then be paused. Resume automatic picture playback using »OK« or »e/II«. Displaying the function and info bar 1 Press »OSD« to view the function and info bar. II Note: If the zoom function is selected via the function and info bar, the enlarged picture cannot be moved using »a« or »s« or »A« or »S«. To move the picture section, the function and info bar must first be concealed using »OSD«. Notes: The function and info bar also shows the current file names and their format. Picture playback ­ menu functions Setting the delay for automatic picture playback You can set the time delay of one picture to the next for the slide show.
