Special features of your DVD player
Your DVD player is suitable for playing: DVD, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R Audio-CD (CD-DA) CD-R and CD-RW with MP3 data CD-Rs and CD-RWs with picture data (JPEG and picture CDs) CD-Rs and CD-RWs with audio/video data (MP4) You can also play these data formats using the USB input or a memory card (SD format Secure Digital memory card or MMC Multimedia Card. The DVD player decodes digital audio signals into stereo or Dolby Digital signals to be played back via speakers or headphones. To do this, it converts the digital signals to analogue ones and amplifies them. DVDs with other regional codes cannot be played.

Selecting tracks and chapters using the DVD menu
The DVD may contain several tracks or chapters you can choose from. You can see how many tracks and chapters the DVD contains in the info bar. 1 Open the content of the DVD with »MENU« (disc menu) or »TITLE« (track menu). Select the track or chapter by pressing »7«, »!«, »§« or »$« and activate with »PLAY SEL«. Playback begins with the track/chapter you selected.

Select the next chapter, next file or next track by pressing »s 6« briefly during playback. Select the previous chapter, previous file or previous track by pressing »5 briefly during playback. a«

Using the numerical buttons
1 During DVD playback, select the track or chapter with »1. . . 0« and confirm with »PLAY SEL«. Playback starts with the chapter or track you selected or select the track by pressing »1. . . 0« during audio CD playback and confirm with »PLAY SEL«. Note: Not all discs allow you to select tracks directly using the numerical buttons.

Repeat functions

1 Activate the repeat function by pressing and holding down »b«. »b Off«: the repeat function is deactivated.
In audio CD mode
1 Activate the repeat function by pressing »b« repeatedly. »b Off«: the repeat function is deactivated.
Switching the dubbed language or the audio format
Use this setting to change from the preset dubbed language if the DVD offers alternatives. 1

Press » « during playback to select the dubbed language you want. Note: The structure of the DVD itself may prevent you from switching the audio language. Audio CDs do not support this function.
Selecting and displaying subtitles
If the DVD provides subtitles, they can be displayed on your TV screen. If subtitles are available in several languages, you can select the ones you want. 1

Press »y« during playback to select the subtitle language you want. It then appears briefly, for example »Subtitle: English«. Notes: To switch off the subtitles, keep pressing »y« until »Subtitle: Off« appears in the display. Switching the subtitles can be suppressed by the structure of the DVD itself. [. . . ] settings
