This compact, rugged cleaning system is simple to install and automatically cleans while the conveyor system is in operation. 4. 0 Sequence of Operation Once installed and operational, the cleaner works to remove dirt and debris from chain, trolley wheels, and trolley bracket. Install the brushes, spacers, keys and the lock collars to the shafts. 6. 2 Mechanical Installation Overhead: Mount to the top of the "I" beam by welding the brackets onto the top of the beam. Attach the crank handle and the adjusting bolt to the coupling. CAUTION: Cleaner should never be operated without shroud in place. 2 OP-8 Manual L40008 6. 3 Electrical Installation Connect Power to the unit as noted on Wiring diagram inside the junction box cover. To change to 208-220 voltage, refer to wiring diagram. 8. 0 Service Parts Depending on the requirements of the preventive maintenance program in effect and the number of lubricators at this facility, the user may wish to stock a selection of service parts. The following is a list of suggested service parts. NOTE: To take full advantage of the cleaner it is recommended that a full reversing type motor starter, with time delay, be wired onto the circuit. By changing the direction of rotation, the brushes will reach into and clean certain areas of the trolley, trolley brackets, and chain that might otherwise be missed if the brushes rotate in only one direction. When it becomes necessary to bring the brushes into greater contact with the conveyor chain, simply turn brush adjusting device until the desired brush pressure is reached.
